• 亲 The simplified form of 親. Lots of horizontal strokes, clearly separated top and bottom — it sits steadily on the grid.
• 勁 A dense character. The more ink, the more grid positions we lose to it.
• 快 Light on the left (the heart radical), solid on the right. Light and dense in one glyph is the hardest test.
• 攪 So many strokes it crams the whole grid. This is the density ceiling.
• 掂 Mostly horizontals and verticals — the cleanest kind on a grid.
• A Just one English letter. Straight strokes make the best squares.
• と A kana: few strokes, so the big white areas have to stay quiet enough.
• の One continuous curve — the whole picture rests on a single line.
• 🔥 Emoji only get an outline from the line-art Noto Emoji, and the strokes have to be thickened to weight 700 to hold up.
• 👍 Just an outline with plain white inside; big enough, and you recognise it at a glance.
